- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and just begins to boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes, then whisk in the heavy cream.
How to Prepare
Pour the cooled mixture into fudgesicle molds. If you don’t have molds, you can use small paper cups and popsicle sticks. Fill each mold about 3/4 full to allow space for the mixture to expand as it freezes. Place the molds in the freezer and freeze until solid, which will take about 4-6 hours.
