  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour an 8-inch cake pan.

How to Prepare

  1. In a medium bowl, sift together flour and baking powder.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with flour.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
